In the market for a Google Chromebook? I mean, they are pretty affordable. Their price range runs from $199 to $999. Now, if you want to grab one, you can between now and the end of January 2020, you could receive Disney+ free for three months. I mean, the service only costs $6.99 a month, but it is a nice perk.
From 11/25/2019 to 1/31/2020, if you buy yourself (or a special someone) a Google Chromebook, you’re eligible to three free months of Disney+. Of course, there are some caveats to the deal. Like Microsoft’s Xbox Ultimate Game Pass promo, you cannot already be a subscriber to Disney+. Some companies would tack on three free months onto your plan. Not Disney.
So, if you are giving it to someone, and they don’t have the service, they can get Disney+ free for three months. Now, if you’re smart, you can have someone else in your family sign up for a new account and cancel yours for the three months. But, the hassle is kind bigger than the reward. But, you know… free is free.
Aside from the whole Disney+ free, there is a service upgrade that was noticeably absent when it launched a couple of weeks ago. They, finally, offered a “continue watching” menu on the home screen. Like Netflix and Hulu, you are able to stream content from one device to another and pick up where you left off.
I know it may sound like such a little thing, but when you start a movie (or series) and you have to search out the content to continue watching it would be annoying. I won’t how long it goes before we get that cold, harsh message like on Netflix, “are you still watching?”
Again, it may not seem like a big deal, but it works. If you don’t need a Chromebook, but need something to stream the service on your TV, you should check out some of the deals going on.
