As the weekend began, Warner Bros. decided to drop their second trailer for the upcoming Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn. It, almost, seems like a surprise that the film is expected to drop in a couple of weeks. That was fast. The latest trailer focuses on why Harley and the Joker are no longer together.
What makes the trailer cool is that we get the cast of characters that make up the movie. Aside from Harley, we meet Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, and Cassandra Cain. The last one is the biggest surprise for many reasons, one which includes her future role as Batgirl.
Here is the official synopsis:
You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? “Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.
The film opens in wide release on February 7, 2020.
